Edward is a lifelong Creative who began oil painting at age 7. He has worked as a Mechanical Engineer, IT Director, Programmer, Drafter, Web Designer, Actor, Hotel Clerk, Bell Hop, DJ, and Long Haul Trucker. He is currently employed as a Log Truck Driver, utilizing the 3 to 4 months of downtime afforded by logging as a time for intense painting.

Edward Cating is an oil painter who specializes in Landscape and portraiture, focusing on the spectacular Mountain West. His formal training took place at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where he earned a Four Year Diploma in Studio Art (Concentration Painting). His influences include the Tonalists, Hudson River School, and 19th Century German Romantic Painters. Edward maintains both a working studio and a gallery that is open by appointment.
